First Full Moon of 2025

The first full moon of 2025 occurs on Monday 13th January at 22.27 (GMT).  Taking place on the Cancer/Capricorn axis (moon in Cancer, sun in Capricorn), feelings and emotions will be heightened more than usual.   As with all full moons, we may find that emotions we have buried come to the surface.  However, we are being given an opportunity to see how we have established behaviour patterns as a means of coping with emotional issues.  Our instinct may be to be defensive and combative in order to protect ourselves, but if we can look at our emotional responses and face any issues that we haven’t dealt with, we can really move beyond anything that has been hindering our development. 

Now, we have an invitation from the cosmos to live as our authentic self.  There may be some emotional reactivity as we discover that we have created our own obstacles with our thinking and behaviours. Anything that comes up at this time is serving us to establish a new type of emotional thinking.  It’s time to feel into who we are and what we want, releasing any negative patterns and fears in order to create our own emotional security. 

Collectively, we may feel a sense of directionless motion.  With Mars still retrograde and Neptune at a critical degree, it’s a very potent time for us to work intuitively..  If we tune in and trust our intuition, we will ensure we are making positive changes and moving the right direction.
