Leo New Moon August 2024

Courage, confidence, creativity, excitement, fun, loving and heart-centred are all expressions of Leo energy in astrology.

Symbolised as the Lion, and associated with the sun, the energy of Leo is a powerful life-force.   With a new moon occurring at 12.12 (BST) on 4th August the focus is on our vitality and creativity.  

As with all new moons, it is a time to set intentions.  The Leo energy encourages us to centre ourselves and consider where we find our unique expression of happiness.  The cosmos is supporting us to heal any past hurts and disappointments.  Our subconscious thoughts can be incredibly powerful and we can unwittingly block our progress by holding onto emotional pain. We now have an opportunity to clear any negative thoughts enabling us to live with joy, as our true selves.

With mercury turning retrograde the cosmic field has set up a period for self reflection in the wake of this new moon.   The energy of the moment is infused with wisdom, giving us insight and maturity into what constitutes happiness.  We would be wise to go inward and consider what our lessons have been and why. This will reveal a path forward, using the knowledge and wisdom we have gained.
