Neptune enters Aries

Astrology is a symbolic language which is open to the art of interpretation.   It is also a data science.  Astrologers have access to thousands of years worth of data and reference points based on the planetary alignments and the movement and orbits of the planets.  Contemporary astrologers are able to interpret this data with the benefit of history and knowledge to surmise on what may surface in our realities.

As we begin April 2025, Neptune has just moved into the Astrological sign of Aries.  This is significant as it is the start of the Zodiac in Western Astrology.  It marks an era defining moment as Neptune moves signs approximately every 12-14 years, and the last time it was at 0 Aries was 164 years ago in 1861.  History inform us that this co-incided with the American Civil War, so if we were looking for themes, we may draw some conclusions.

A less predictive and broader interpretation of the energy would lead us to conclude  that we are entering an era where the individual will seek more authority and power.  There will be a collective re-imagining of society and as individuals we may be redefining our identities.  Some of the more spiritual ideas that have been surfacing whilst Neptune has been in Pisces may begin to take form over the next few years.  We have been in an intense period of confusion and disillusionment with Neptune hovering at the last degree of Pisces, but a new perception of reality may begin to crystallise in our conscious awareness as the Aries energy takes hold.  

From a spiritual and religious perspective,  we could find that we begin to move away from dogmatic and prescriptive dictates as  people begin to realise that they can find their own spiritual practice.. We are all here with our own purpose and this may become more widely accepted as societal structures loosen their grip on individuals' realities.   There is always power in collective community but Aries energy is focused on the self, so the cosmic energy will supports us in finding our own beliefs.  Radical new ideas and shifts in our thinking are possible for each and every one of us.

With Neptune in Aries and Pluto now in Aquarius, we have a powerful energy which is somewhat incendiary and difficult to contain.   Ideas, thinking, beliefs and visions of the future will all take form and advance rapidly during this era.

If we want to better understand the energy of Neptune, we can look back to 2012 and reflect on how our lives have changed since then.  It is likely that in a particular area of our life we have experienced some form of spiritual initiation.   As Neptune moves into Aries, we can now look to a different area of our life to see where we are set to undergo a shift in our thinking and a spiritual overhaul.   With Saturn - associated with structure, form, boundaries and lessons - also moving into Aries in May, these dissonant energies will bring form to the formless.  What once seemed inexplicable or even mystical will begin to become an accepted part of our reality. 

Of course, how our lives will change during the Neptune in Aries era will also be influenced by many other factors, as well as the flow of energy from all the planetary alignments.
